Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this clean, delightful, affordable upland gun from AyA, one of Spain’s premier gunmakers well known the world over for making solid, well finished guns.  From the AyA website: The N° 3 has been AYA’s standard boxlock design since 1960. It is modelled on a Westley Richards boxlock action, brought to Spain by the King brothers. The Anson & Deeley action, the most famous of all boxlock designs, was created by two employees of Westley Richards in 1875, and ever since, Westley Richards guns have defined boxlock elegance. This fine upland gun is an early AyA Model 3 built in 1978; it is serial numbered 515597. Weighing an even 6lbs. this handy side-by-side is balanced perfectly on the hinge pin. The 27″ barrels are of the chopper lump design, long heralded as the very best method of joining the barrels and utilized mostly in “BEST GUNS” from the likes of Purdey and Holland & Holland. The barrels are tight on face and tight on hinge, have mirror bores, tight ribs, and 99% factory blue, and are choked Mod and Improved Mod. The receiver retains 99% factory bone and charcoal case color, it has hand chiseled borders and is in perfect mechanical condition with crisp double triggers, auto safety and excellent screws. The European Walnut has some figure and a touch of fiddleback on the comb, it has excellent hand cut flat top checkering and a checkered butt with oil finish. Length of pull is 14 5/8” with modern dimensions.  These are known to be highly reliable guns, and a joy to handle. This AyA Model 3 20 gauge is priced affordably for a hand-engraved, hand-checkered gun-what’s not to like?  Ideal for the upcoming upland and clays season. Thanks for looking!
