Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Browning A-Bolt ‘Hunter’ slug gun. A-Bolt shotguns are no longer in production and used examples are in high demand. This A-Bolt serial number 01860ZX151 was manufactured in 2013. A-Bolts are characterized by their smooth bolt action, flawless feeding, and excellent trigger feel and exceptional accuracy. The metal work is finished in Browning’s Low-luster bluing, the bore and rifling is mirror bright. The Hunter variation has a walnut stock, this example has attractive plain grain, the stock has some scattered field marks. The magazine capacity is two rounds with one in the breech for three total, it can be loaded form the bottom or through the open bolt. All the controls are large and handy, ideal for gloved hands! The trigger is adjustable with the removal of the trigger guard, it measures 5.3lbs and can be adjusted from 3lbs to 6.5lbs. The bolt is very smooth and locks up like a vault, the action is positive with a 60 degree short-lift angle. This A-Bolt has iron sights and is tapped for a scope mount. The Browning A-Bolt Hunter Slug gun is a well regarded and sought after rifle, and with the right slug can deliver massive amounts of energy to its target and is suitable for most North American game.
