Chapuis is a well-known French maker of fine guns, notably double rifles for much of the Safari world. Their modern technology and superior locking mechanisms allows them to produce a gun that will last several lifetimes. This gun is a modern gun built between 2015 and 2020 and is in virtually new condition with no handling marks or signs of being afield. The finishes on all wood and metal is 99.9% factory original. The Super Orion C35 model is fitted with ejectors. The action offers a round body and features interchangeable recoil plates. Barrel length is 30” with the most useful IC/M chokes and is steel shot approved. Fine English scroll engraving wrapped around the receiver, with game scenes on action sides and bottom. Double-trigger “Blitz” type battery with short trigger plate. AAA fancy grade walnut straight grip stock slightly and elegantly rounded out, with English-style round cheekpiece and hand-rubbed oil finish, hand cut checking. This is a very dynamic handling gun weighing just 5lbs. 13oz. and balanced dead on the hinge pin. See specifications below. The French walnut stocks are highly figured, the English grip made for the uplands, as is the slender and graceful forend. Of all the European makers producing modern double guns, Chapuis seems to have mastered the art of building a fine shotgun that feels like a much more expensive gun in hand. Finding an over/under that has two triggers is very difficult. Two triggers take a day at the range to master and forever forward you choose choke as you mount the gun and without thought. There is nothing better in the field for taking game with a two barreled gun than two triggers. If you haven’t tried it don’t delay. You will never go back. Gorgeous for sure, and a very good buy at the price offered. Just in time for our upland season, don’t hesitate. Time is short…write the check! Thanks for looking.
