Here we present a very HIGH CONDITION, ALL ORIGINAL PHILLY FOX AE 16GA., COLLECTOR/INVESTOR QUALITY.  There are very few decent small bore Fox guns available to purchase in today’s world.  Finding one that is better than almost all that remain in existence is a rare opportunity to own the best in its class.  Fox small bore graded guns in collector are the most desirable, the guns that appreciate in value the most of all the other similar guns.  CONDITION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTOR TO VALUE AND DESIRABILITY.  Ansley H. Fox got it right with the small-bore Fox, the smallest, most well-proportioned, most reliable of all the vintage American double shotguns.  The gun presented here for sale, sn302862 made in 1928, has 96% original case color thinning on the bottom carry point, perfect screws and mechanics, 99% factory blue, 99% factory charcoal blue on the trigger guard, 99% factory finish on the well figured factory wood, perfect factory flat top checkering, and matches the factory order card as shown in the photos.  Review the photos closely, check the specifications in the tables below, and you will recognize the importance of this gun.  With 28” number 4 weight barrels choked M/F, excellent bores, tight ribs, barrels tight on hinge pin and breech face, and ejectors, this gun has all the most desirable features and excellent mechanics and top lever that is well right of center. WE HAVE NOT ALTERED THIS COLLECTOR GRADE FOX.  THE CHAMBERS ARE STILL 2 ½”.  THERE IS AMPLE BARREL WALL THICKNESS TO MAKE THE CHAMBERS 2 ¾” WITH LONG FORCING CONES.  WE WILL PERFORM ANY SERVICE THE NEW OWNER REQUIRES.  Fox ejector small bores in excellent condition are difficult to find in today’s marketplace as all the good ones have been tucked away for the owner’s pleasurable use, investment in tangible assets, and to hand down to the next generation.  Because of this, prices have gone up significantly over the last few years and will continue to do so.  What an attractive gun in great condition with no issues.  A rare find in a world where the Fox small bore double guns have all but disappeared, and she has “curb appeal”!  Thanks for looking!
