General Specs: Fox, 1930, 20 Gauge, 6lbs., Chokes M/F, LOP 14 1/8″, DAH 2 1/2″, DAC 1 1/2″ Serial Number: 263158 Most will agree the Fox Sterlingworth 20ga. is the best value for a fine small gauge vintage American double in today’s marketplace bate. Built on a tiny 20ga. frame, therefore lighter than like guns from Parker, L.C. Smith, or Ithaca, dynamically balanced… the Sterlingworth is still an affordable field and clays gun with the handling and shooting characteristics of a much more expensive gun. The American double gun world loves the Fox shotgun. Just try and find a decent 20ga. in any grade. There are few offered for sale, and for good reason. The A.H. Fox 20 bore has been described as the “most perfectly proportioned 20ga.” boxlock ever made and it likely is true. I have a treasure here; a 1930 Sterlingworth, sn263158, that has 80% factory case color, 98% factory blue on the barrels and trigger guard, 26″ #3 weight barrels, mirror bores, great wood with a period correct NOSHOC pad. Weighing 6lbs. and perfectly balanced between the hands, it is a delightful little bird gun that will appeal to both the collector and the upland hunter. High condition, original guns are becoming near impossible to find and will continue to grow in value as fewer and fewer are available to purchase. A great investment opportunity and delightful gun for your upcoming bird season. We can change choke constrictions if you wish here in our shop within a few days of purchase. We have priced this gun under market value for a quick sale. See specifications below. Thanks for looking.
