What a great find we have here, a 1930’s era Iver Johnson double gun chambered for the 3” .410 shell that is still in ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISHES INCLUDING 99% BARREL BLUE, 98% ACTION BLUE AND WOOD FINISH, AND 90% TRIGGER GUARD BLUE. This gun has seen little use and is over 85 years old. It is not marked “Hercules” or “Skeet-er”, but is a premium gun with rarely found ejectors and English style stock. The wood-to-metal fit is superb, almost all the factory blue remains on the trigger blades indicating very little use. The 26” barrels are choked F/F and have mirror bores, are tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face and the ribs are tight. The mechanics are in perfect working order. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED GUN, MEANING WE STRIPPED THE ACTION AND FOREND IRON TO THE SMALLEST PARTS, ULTRASONIC CLEANED ALL PARTS, SCRUBBED AND INSPECTED EACH FOR FUNCTION AND INTEGRITY, LUBRICATED ALL AND REASSEMBLED, AND FINALLY TEST FIRED. VFI Certified guns have a 90-day mechanical warranty. Weighing just 6lbs. 1oz. and balanced right on the hinge pin, it is an iconic example of an American vintage small bore. There are few American side x side shotguns ever produced in the tiny .410 and most are quite costly because of the rarity. Add to the mix a gun still in near new condition and you have a true investment quality gun that will be a pleasure to shoot for the new owner. Rabbits, woodcock, quail, and even bigger game like grouse and pheasants are all fair game for the experienced shooter. Cracking clay targets is always fun with a tiny .410 and if you score well with a .410 you will be deadly with larger gauges. Even the stock is still full length of pull. Most of the vintage .410’s you find have short stocks and recoil pads. This gun has it all and at an affordable price. See the specifications below, examine the photographs to see the high condition that this gun possesses, and put the gun in your collection or quiver of upland guns for those special hunts. You won’t see another like this one anytime soon, so don’t hesitate or she will be gone. Thanks for looking!
