General Specs: Marlin, Year c1930, 20 Gauge, 6lbs. 8oz., Choked Mod, LOP 13 7/16″, DAH 2 7/16″, DAC 1 7/8″ Serial Number: 5735 Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Marlin Model 44 sn5735, a unique takedown pump shotgun that was manufactured from 1922-1933 and, with less than 8,000 known to have been manufactured, it is hard to find them in a condition as great as this example. The 25” barrel is choked mod and features a mirror bore and a milled sighting plane. The receiver shows 95% bluing fading to a pleasing silvered patina along the natural carry point. There is no evidence of rust or pitting on this gun. The action is exceptionally smooth sliding and allows for fast-paced firing, the receiver is fitted with an unloading button which allows for unused shells to be ejected without passing through the chamber. The pistol grip stock is fitted with a black factory plate and bears some handling and field marks.
