The Perazzi MX series of over under shotguns has earned its place in history as one of the most respected, competition-built shotguns in modern times. Seen at the top competitions worldwide, most Olympic and top international clay competitors shoot a Perazzi; there are few competitive shotguns that can hold a candle to the Perazzi over/under design, function, and winning record. Here we have a special offering; a MX12 serial number 142736 manufactured in 2008 with a hard-to-find English stock. The gun exhibits luscious, well-figured wood with superb hand checkering, the stock has a length of pull of 14 7/16” with a Perazzi recoil pad fitted. The gun has a slender forend which adds in natural pointing, all the furniture is finished in a traditional hand rubbed oil finish. There are a few handling marks on the stock, overall, the wood is in superb shape. The gun remains in 99% factory condition, with barrels tight on its trunnions and breech face, and mechanics in perfect working order, and a lever Way Right of Center, wood to metal fit is perfect. The 27 ½” barrels have mirror bores, 99%+ blue, clear and sharp lettering, and a tapered game rib. The guns is supplied with seven screw-in chokes C/C/IC/M/IM/F/XF, everything you need for days on the sporting fields or upland hunts. The gun is balanced just forward of the hinge pin, it weighs 7lbs. 8oz. a perfect weight for absorbing recoil on long shooting sessions yet light enough to carry across field and dale. The golden trigger breaks crisply at just over 4lbs on each pull, the manual safety/ barrel selector makes for quick barrel selection for ‘on the fly’ versatility. The MX12 has earned its reputation on the worlds competitive circuits, its been tested to the extremes and has rightfully earned its place on the winners podium.
