| General Specs: Remington Rand, 1943, .45ACP, 39oz. Barrel 5″ Serial Number: 1483727 Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this classic 1911A1 chambered .45 ACP. The 1911A1 needs little introduction, having been used consistently in military and civilian capacities for over a century now. This 1911A1 serial number 1483727 produced by Remington Rand in support of the United States war economy of 1943. This handgun was upgraded with a new barrel and some small parts and sold to the civilian market through the CMP. Its 5” barrel features a mirror bore. The slide shows and frame show 60% finish with some areas going to a pleasing patina, its field wear recalls its proud history of service. This Remington will make a great shooter and a great addition to any World War Two enthusiasts’ collection, or for those who think 9mm just doesn’t hold up to .45ACP!
