General Specs: Weatherby, c1968, .22LR, 6lbs. 11oz., LOP 13 13/16″
Serial Number: 26533
This Weatherby Mk XXII .22LR, sn26533, was made in Italy by Beretta circa 1968. It is part of the first group manufactured between 1964-1971, the only batch to be manufactured in Italy. Weatherby demanded such high quality that it is rumored they lost money on these early Beretta made guns. The gun features an adjustable trigger, box mag, elegant wood furniture with pistol grip, cap and forend and a Monte Carlo cheek piece. This example retains 99% factory original bluing on its barrel and receiver, the bore is mirror bright with sharp rifling. The Receiver has integral 11mm scope rails and has a sleek Weatherby, Japanese made MK XX 4X scope already mounted. The lever to the right of the receiver allows for Semi-Automatic shooting or slow methodical single shots with a hold open after each shot. The wood is in outstanding condition with skip-line checkering in perfect condition, classic black and white spacers add a final touch of old school class to this little sporter! There is a little scuff on the trigger guard but other than that this is a stunning example of the famous Weatherby MK XXII. A sling is included with this rifle. The semi-auto MK XXII was discontinued in 1989 and prices continue to climb for this premium rifle. Whether you want it for plinking, vermin control or training a new shooter, you will not be disappointed with this classic. Thanks for looking.
