The Winchester Model 1894 was first chambered in the .38-55 WCF, a powerful, medium bore cartridge that is still the preferred cartridge in vintage Model 1984 rifles today.   Just imagine the look on the cowboy’s face when his new special-order Winchester arrived.  The gorgeous wood and fine factory finishes would bring jealous envy from all his family and friends.  This rifle, Sn347865 built in 1906, is a SPECIAL-ORDER RIFLE with features that include half octagon, half round barrel, full length magazine, and as was usual with any special-order Winchester 1894, upgraded and nicely figured wood.  This desirable Model 1894 is in REMARKABLE FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION with strong, 97% dark factory barrel blue, excellent shiny bore with strong rifling from breech to muzzle with only hints of light frosting (would rate 8 on a scale of 10), magazine tube retains 98% blue, receiver blue strong with 85% coverage, loading gate still has strong charcoal blue, 98% dark case color on the lever and hammer, and most all the finish remaining on the wood showing normal handling marks and contrasting grain streaks and fiddleback throughout.  The Sporting front and rear sight are standard issue, and the Marbles tang mounted peep comes with the gun.  The screws are in near perfect condition, there are no cracks, splits, or repairs to the wood, and all the lettering and stamps are crisp and clear.  Most early M1894 rifles have been used hard, so when you find a 119-year-old Winchester Model 1894 in nice original condition with special-order features it is something to take note of.  This is an opportunity for you to own a factory original special-order Winchester with figured wood and in the most desirable .38-55 chambering.  The value of collectible Winchester rifles is in the original condition rifles with special-order features and unaltered in any way since leaving the factory.  We have included a copy of the Cody Firearms Museum information sheet with the photos and the rifle matches perfectly to the letter.  Review the photos and you will see a very honest, unmolested Model 1894 that will still be an ultimate rifle for deer or other North American game.  The Winchester Model 1894 is perfect for deer hunting in the wooded areas throughout the country and anywhere a true rifle is warranted.  Don’t miss out on your opportunity to own this fine Winchester.  Thanks for looking!
