Description
General Specs: Winchester, Year 1934, 12 Gauge, 7lbs. 9oz., Chokes M/F, LOP 14 5/8″, DAH 2 3/4″, DAC 1 5/8″ Serial Number: 4927 The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation. A strikingly handsome gun made with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This fine M21 Standard Grade, sn4927, is a great example of a CLASSIC UPLAND DOUBLEGUN; PISTOL GRIP STOCK, SPLINTER FOREND, DOUBLE TRIGGERS, AND EJECTORS. These features are near impossible to find on a Model 21, as most M21’s with two triggers and a splinter forend have extractors only and most Model 21’s have beavertail forends and single triggers. THIS GUN IS ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISHES ON METAL AND WOOD, ANOTHER NEAR IMPOSSIBLE FIND ON A GUN BUILT 90 YEARS AGO. Most all Model 21’s have been restored in some way. The barrels are tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face with the top lever right of center, mechanics are crisp, the ejectors strong and well-timed, screws are perfect, as is the wood-to-metal-fit, and she is pretty to look as well. THIS IS A VFI CERTIFIED GUN WITH A 90-DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY. The action and forend iron were stripped to their smallest part, cleaned in the Ultrasonic cleaner, scrubbed and inspected for function and integrity, properly lubricated and reassembled. This is a $440 service in our shop. The 30” M/F (right barrel is on the more open side of Winchester modified choke specification, which I prefer for flushing birds and good dogs) barrels and receiver retain 98% factory blue, the trigger guard faded to a silver/grey, and the lightly figured walnut stocks have excellent checkering with no cracks and superb wood-to-metal fit. If you enjoy chasing tough upland birds, waterfowl, turkey, or just shooting a round of sporting clays, this is a great vintage Winchester for your pursuits. This Model 21 is ready for the highest volume, heaviest loads you would ever want to feed into a shotgun. SEE THE TABLE BELOW FOR SPECS. We at Vintage Firearms, Inc. work hard to provide you the power of knowledge and the opportunity to buy solid, investment quality firearms with no excuses or surprises. We even answer our phone all day long, 6 days a week. We want your business! Thanks for looking!
