| General Specs: Winchester, 1936, .22 Long, 5lbs. 12oz. LOP 12 3/4″ Serial Number: 751614 Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Winchester Model 90 Takedown, one of the classic American slide-action rimfire rifles designed by John and Matthew Browning. Manufactured circa 1927, serial number 751614 is a Third Model chambered specifically for the .22 Long cartridge. The 24-inch octagonal barrel is the highlight of the rifle, retaining approximately 98% original factory blue with crisp markings, sharp edges, and a bright mirror bore. Honest wear is visible beneath the barrel where the pump handle has traveled. The receiver and magazine tube have aged much more visibly, reflecting both normal handling and the different steels Winchester used in these components. The receiver retains approximately 10% original blue, with the balance faded to an even brown-gray patina. The wood shows honest handling marks consistent with a rifle that has been carried and enjoyed but not abused. The original open sights remain in place, the action functions properly, and the takedown system operates as intended, allowing the rifle to separate quickly into two compact sections for transport and cleaning. At 5lbs. 12oz., it remains light, lively, and unmistakably Winchester. This is an appealing vintage Model 90 with exceptional original barrel condition, an excellent bore, honest receiver patina, and the desirable takedown configuration. Add it to your collection today. Thanks for looking!
