Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this Springfield M1 Garand. 10lbs. 7oz. of all American industrial might and “The Greatest Battle implement ever devised”. The rifle was originally sold by the DCM (Director of Civil Marksmanship) on March 25, 1963. Copy of original sales receipt and CMP letter to be included.  This Garand retains 99% factory original Parkerizing on the Springfield barrel and receiver, op-rod and trigger group. This rifle, serial number 3868467, was manufactured in June1945, it was re barreled with a Springfield Armory barrel dated 7 54. The gun was assembled on a late WW2 receiver, dated June 1945, and is in the very desirable 3.8 million serial number range. The gun is in 99% overall condition with the throat wear showing 2.0, the muzzle wear is ‘as new’, the chamber is “in the White” and shows no signs of any refinishing. Bore is mirror bright and rates 10/10. The stock is above average and shows some nice grain. The forend is correctly glued to the barrel and the action is bedded, with the last four digits of the serial number painted in white in the channel. Likewise, the floor plate is serial numbered in white, all correct for this Type 2 National Match. All markings and attributes point this NM Garand as a 1962 variation. Rifle Parts Breakdown:
