| General Specs: Springfield, 1955, .30-06, 10lbs. 3oz., LOP 13 3/16″ Serial Number: 5796157 Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this Springfield M1 Garand. 10lbs. 3oz. of all American industrial might and “The Greatest Battle implement ever devised”. This rifle, serial number 5796157 was manufactured in 1955. It retains 99% factory original Parkerizing on the Springfield barrel and receiver, op-rod and trigger group. The bore is mirror clean and rates 9/5/10, the throat erosion gauges at 2.0 and the muzzle is ‘as new’ (zero wear) the measurements match the 2005 CMP paperwork, this rifle has spent its time in a collection but seldom fired-if at all! The furniture shows a few typical military marks but overall is in excellent shape, the cartouches are clear and it has good straight grain. This weapon comes with its Civilian Marksmanship Program papers (the gun was shipped in 2005 as a Certified Correct Grade) and a quality reproduction sling. Please enjoy the photographs.
