Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Browning BT-99 Trap chambered for 2 3/4” 12 gauge, from Browning: “Introduced in 1968, the BT-99 has spent over 50 years cultivating its global reputation as a reliable and hard-working shotgun. The design of the BT-99 is simple and robust, which translates directly into longevity that few other guns can match. The long-lasting endurance of the BT-99 shouldn’t be a surprise. Not because it’s a Browning, but because it’s THE Browning. It’s a direct descendent of the legendary Superposed over and under shotgun — one of the last designs of John M. Browning. Like the Superposed, the BT-99 receiver and action components are built from solid steel. The monoblock and barrel hinge on an oversize steel pin that runs the full width of the receiver and outlasts the side-mounted trunnion hinge designs popular with other manufacturers. A tapered locking lug fits into a recess in the monoblock and secures it to the receiver. A tapered lug will seat deeper into the recess over time, accounting for wear and keeping the action locked up securely even after thousands of rounds. The monoblock is a solid chunk of steel expertly machined to fit the receiver. Still, every BT-99 undergoes a hand-fitting process that ensures that parts wear correctly and lock-up is secure. This is evident by the somewhat stiff opening and closing of the action. After a few hundred rounds, the Browning smoothness starts shining through.” This example, serial number 01935MT171, manufactured by Miroku in 2006, retains 99% factory finish on the barrel and trigger guard, and 98% factory finish on the receiver. The 32” vented barrel has a mirror bore, screw in chokes that are Full, and white front and mid beads. The action is tight and sits right of center, and has extractors, so you’ll always know where your shells are! A lovely 12 gauge from one of the world’s best-known manufacturers, perfect for your next trap event! Have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
