General Specs: Winchester, 1928, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 8oz. Improved Modified Chokes, LOP 13 5/8″, DAH 2 1/2″, DAC 1 5/8″
Serial Number:  522195

The Winchester Model 1912 or simply Model 12 became an instant hit on its introduction. So smooth and fluid is the action that the Model 12 earned the epithet of ‘The perfect repeater’. All Model 12’s are built in a take-down configuration, a couple of quick operations separates the gun into two transportable pieces with all parts captive, making for easy cleaning and storage. This example, serial number 522195, manufactured in 1973 by Winchester is in excellent condition retaining 75%+ factory finish on all parts. The 30” barrel has a mirror bore and is marked FULL. However, the chokes actually measure Improved Modified, meaning over the course of this gun’s life someone decided to open up the chokes to be more useful. There are some field marks on both the metal and wood from use over the last ninety or so years but no active cracks. Overall, a nice example of a classic field gun. Have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
