While John Browning’s genius created the original Browning superposed it was Mr. Browning’s grandson John Val who travelled to Japan in the 1960’s to supervise manufacturing of the Browning Superposed. Christened the Citori it joined the Browning line of over/unders. Inheriting all the excellent attributes of the original Browning design and then adding selective improvements to aid with modern manufacturing processes. From Browning: “When you combine superior engineering, meticulous testing, and a desire to create the perfect blend of tradition and technology to produce the lightest field gun in the Citori 725 line, the outcome is the Feather Superlight. This example, serial number 10813YV131, was produced by Browning in 2025 and remains in superb overall condition with very few rounds fired. The barrel, receiver, and trigger guard retain 99%+ of their factory finishes, and the 26-inch barrels feature mirror bores, 2 3/4-inch chambers, screw-in chokes, and a tight vent rib. Included are the original box, three chokes (IC/M/F), and choke key. It’s fitted with a field forend with Schnabel and straight stock which have nice straight grain and is capped with an Inflex recoil pad. Overall, a superb over/under that’s ready for your next clays event! These guns have a dedicated following amongst those in the know, a solid piece of precision engineering at a nice price, it’s everything a classic over/under Browning can be.
