Americas favorite deer rifle. The perfect hunting gun either on foot or from the saddle, lightweight, nimble and fast to action the 94′ is simple, safe, and reliable. The Model 94 is the rifle most associated with the Winchester name; it has sold over 7,000,000 units and is often referred to as the “ultimate lever-action”. This example, serial number 1325655, produced by Winchester in 1942, during the final year of full civilian production before manufacturing was curtailed as the company shifted resources to support the war effort. The 20” barrel retains 99% factory blue with a near perfect 9.5/10 bore and chambers the .32 Winchester Special which many consider to be ballistically superior to the .30-30. The receiver retains 98% factory blue with some edge silvering at the balance point, excellent screws, and superb wood to metal fit. It’s fitted with the desirable long wood forend and straight stock, both having nice, straight-grained wood. This is an honest gun that has been used for its intended purpose, with some expected handling marks, which on such a useful gun it just adds character. Overall, a great-looking Winchester Model 94, produced just a year into the Second World War. It wears its history well and is looking for its next guardian. Specifications and pictures are below.
