The John Browning designed Colt 1911 needs very little introduction. It is one of the most iconic pistols ever developed. It has traveled the world and fought numerous battles since its Army acceptance in 1911 and is still widely manufactured and copied today. In 1991 Colt released a new line of 1911 pattern handguns, dubbed the Colt M1991A1. This example, serial number 2735840, produced by Colt in 1994, was sent to Wilson Combat for a series of upgrades. Back in the day, one of Wilson’s offerings was to improve the fit of your 1911, further upgrades on this Colt include an ambi safety, flanged barrel, black armor tuff finish, Wilson G10 grips, extended slide release, and tritium sights. The 5” barrel retains 98% finish on the barrel, and has a mirror bore. Included is its blue Wilson combat soft case, extra firing pin spring, and two Wilson Combat 1911 mags.
