Vintage Firearms Inc is pleased to offer this lightweight, upland gun from Ugartechea, one of Spain’s premier gunmakers well known the world over for making solid, well finished and affordable guns.  This is an affordable, solid gun CHAMBERED FOR 2 ¾”, AND JUST IN TIME FOR YOUR UPCOMING BIRD SEASON.  In today’s world of modern side x side shotguns built in Turkey, Russia, and elsewhere to be cheap but clumsy guns, the value in a fine Spanish gun cannot be understated.  Built by gunmakers, not CNC machinists, people who spent their whole life building fine guns with hand fit parts and attention to details, including the handling dynamics of the gun.  This Ugartechea features a Deely boxlock action, free floating firing pins and chopper lump barrel construction with selective ejectors and an auto safety.

Weighing just 5 pounds 15 ounces and balance perfectly 1/8” in front of the hinge pin, this “Uggie” was built in 1985 and remains in superb condition.  The metal retains over 98% of its original factory finishes, with very few handling marks. The 26 3/4” barrels are choked IC/IM, the English style stock and splinter forend are without cracks, and feature superb hand cut checkering with mullered boarders; a hand rubbed oiled finish brings out the mineral grains and fiddleback to perfection!

The gun’s mechanics are superb, with excellent screws, barrels tight on breech face and hinge pin like a new gun, crisp trigger pulls, ribs that ring like bells and timed ejectors; everything has been thoroughly checked out by VFI staff and the gun is ready to go for decades without worries.  The action is handsomely coin finished with nice scroll engraving creating a gun with some added class. The Ugartechea offers lots of gun for the price, don’t miss out on this great stylish upland gun.
