| General Specs: Parker, 1927, 12-Gauge, 6lbs. 15oz., Chokes IC/M, LOP 14 3/8″, DAH 2 1/4″, DAC 1 3/8″ Serial Number: 221343 This 1927 Parker VHE is the kind of vintage American double that still makes a great hunting gun today. At just under 7 pounds with 26” barrels and balance at the hinge pin; an excellent configuration for upland hunting, preserve birds, sporting clays, or a day in the dove field. The barrels are choked approximately .006/.024, giving the shooter an open first barrel for close, fast opportunities and a considerably tighter second barrel when a bird stretches the distance. Automatic ejectors, double triggers, and a 14 3/8” LOP complete a very practical field setup. Condition is notably strong for a Parker approaching 100 years old. The gun retains approximately 80% original barrel blue and 45% factory case color with attractive patina. The bores are mirror bright, the action and hinge are tight, ejectors are timed, and the original Parker Brothers dog-head buttplate remains in place. A handsome, original-condition VHE with useful dimensions, good barrel condition, and the handling qualities that make a Parker enjoyable to carry and shoot.
