Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this Marlin Model 1893 rifle. Model 1893s are notable for their distinctive square flush bolt and being the precursor to the Model 36 and 336. This example, serial number 374817, was produced by Marlin in 1907. Of note, its top tang is marked “MODEL 1893,” a designation officially phased out in 1905 in favor of “93.” Although this earlier marking is unusual, as the serial number places the rifle’s production after 1906. The 26” octagonal barrel retains 50% of its factory finish and the receiver and lever have mostly faded to a pleasant silver. Overall, a great lever-action rifle that evokes the spirit of the American frontier. Specifications and photographs appear below. Thanks for looking!
