Here we have a classic pre-war Remington Model 41 Targetmaster, a single shot .22 bolt action built for the serious young target shooter of the 1930s.  Remington produced around 300000 Model 41s between 1936 and 1939, Introduced in 1936, this takedown rifle has a 27″ round tapered barrel and a one-piece American walnut stock with pistol grip, and is chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. Remington produced approximately 307,000 Model 41s between 1936 and 1939, This example is serial number 277142, manufactured in march of 1938, it retains 96% factory finish on all parts and has a mirror 10/10 bore.
