Vintage firearms is pleased to offer the classic Karabiner 98 Kurz, which served as the service rifle of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War and Interwar period. The Kar98K was the final iteration of the Mauser action rifle that German Military would field as its main service rifle. Many smaller nations during the post war era would field Kar98K rifles or derivatives to serve as their main service rifles or as a supplemental rifles, notably Yugoslavia (M48), Spain (FR8), and Isreal. This example, serial number 1359, was produced by Gustloff Werk in 1944. Its barrel and receiver retain 95% factory finish and has a 7/10 bore, it is missing its cleaning rod. It has bcd stamped above the chamber, and has matching serial numbers, excepting the bolt assembly which has a different number. This rifle also comes with a bayonet and scabbard, the serial numbers on the bayonet are mis-matched but it really completes the gun! A must have for any World War 2 collector! Have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
