Here we have a delightful, affordable upland gun from Aguirre y Aranzabal, one of Spain’s premier gunmakers well known the world over for making solid, well finished guns.  From the AyA website: “The N° 3 has been AYA’s standard boxlock design since 1960.” Modelled from a Westley Richards boxlock action. The Anson & Deeley action, the most famous of all boxlock designs, was created by two employees of Westley Richards in 1875, and ever since, Westley Richards guns have defined boxlock elegance. This example, serial number, 395601 produced circa 1975, is a fine upland gun indeed! Weighing just 5lbs. 8oz. you can carry this gun all day with little fatigue. Chambered for 20 gauge shells which are known to be deadly on pheasants, grouse, quail, dove, woodcock and all upland game. The receiver retains 99% vivid case color and the barrels retain 98% factory finish with mirror bores, tight ribs, and are choked M/F. These side-by-sides are known to be highly reliable guns with a strong following from those ‘who know’, and priced affordably for a hand-engraved, hand-checkered gun with perfect screws.
