| General Specs: AyA, 1972, 20 Gauge, 5lbs. 8oz. Chokes LM/F, LOP 14 1/2″, DAH 2 5/16″, DAC 1 7/16″ Serial Number: 388285 Here we have a delightful, affordable upland gun from AyA, one of Spain’s premier gunmakers well known the world over for making solid, well finished guns. From the AyA website: The N° 3 has been AYA’s standard boxlock design since 1960. It is modelled on a Westley Richards boxlock action, brought to Spain by the King brothers. The Anson & Deeley action, the most famous of all boxlock designs, was created by two employees of Westley Richards in 1875, and ever since, Westley Richards guns have defined boxlock elegance. This AyA, sn388285 built in 1972, is a fine upland gun indeed! Weighing a scant 5lbs. 8oz. and balanced just ahead of the hinge pin, you can carry this gun all day with little fatigue. The 20ga. chambering is known to be deadly on pheasants, grouse, quail, dove, woodcock and all upland game. The 27″ barrels are tight on the hinge and breech face, with the lever sitting slightly Right of Center, have excellent bores, tight ribs that ring as bells, 98% blue, and are choked LM/F with 2 ¾” chambers. The receiver retains 99% vivid bone and charcoal case color and is in perfect mechanical condition with crisp double triggers, auto safety, and perfect screws. The furniture has some figure and some field marks on both sides of the stock. Please see below for all specifications. These are known to be highly reliable guns, and this one is light as a feather, and nicely balanced, and is priced affordably for a hand-engraved, hand-checkered gun. A perfect gun for this year’s upland and clays season. Don’t miss this one! Thanks for looking.
