Colt Lawman MK III .357MAG – c1977, MIRROR BORE, 2” BARREL, BLUED

Vintage firearm’s is pleased to offer Colt’s take on the snub nose service revolver. After the introduction of the Colt Python to widespread acclaim, Colt re-launched the Colt Trooper in 1969 to fill the niche for a medium frame revolver aimed at the Law enforcement market. The .357 Magnum Trooper was the premier offering of the new product line, lighter and handier than the Smith & Wesson competition, their internal lock works were hand fitted and they had Colts famously smooth and crisp trigger. Then Colt, to capture even more of the duty grade revolver market launched the Lawman, a service grade .357 Magnum version of the Colt Trooper. Colt made these specifically for law enforcement and private security which featured a heavy barrel offered exclusively in 2” or 4” lengths. This example, serial number 51741L, produced circa 1977 by Colt, has the desirable 2” barrel with a shrouded ejector rod and a mirror bore. It’s been fitted with Pachmayr grips, which will help absorb the felt recoil from .357 magnum out of its 2” barrel. Furthermore, retains 98%+ finish on all parts, and even retains most of the hammer’s case color, with a few field marks from its service, as a service revolver should!
