Colt Single Action Army .32-20 – 1902, NEAR PERFECT BORE, 7.5” BRL, LETTER

The Colt Single Action Army (SAA Model of 1873) has always been synonymous with the American Wild West and an icon in Western movie genre. The collector appeal for Colt SAA revolvers has been strong and growing for decades, making Colts more valuable each passing day. This example, serial number 230323, produced by Colt in 1902, is chambered in .32-20 Winchester, a notably accurate round and very adequate for varmints. The 7 1/2” barrel retains 97% factory bluing with some holster wear at the muzzle and has a near perfect 9.5/10 bore. The receiver retains 98% factory case color and is fitted with hard rubber Colt brand grips. The front sight has been filed down, providing a very nice sight picture, a common turn-of-the-century era modification done to .32-22 revolvers as they were often used in target competitions. Everything about this SAA is correct, even the modified front sight is correct for its period, the serial and assembly numbers are all correct and where they should be, and the gun matches its Cody Firearms Museum letter. Colt Single Action Army revolvers have proven to be highly collectible, investment quality firearms for over half a century.  This fine piece would be a welcome addition to any Colt collection.
