CSMC Winchester Model 21 28GA – No. 6 ENGRAVING, JEWELED ACTION, CASED

This handsome CSMC Winchester Model 21 28 gauge combines the unmistakable strength and presence of the Model 21 with the level of finish expected from one of Connecticut Shotgun’s high-grade custom guns. Finished with No. 6 engraving, exceptional walnut and a beautifully jeweled action, this is a very refined small-bore Model 21 in outstanding condition.

The engraving is extensive and well balanced, with game scenes on the sides and bottom surrounded by fine scrollwork carried across the receiver, fences and adjoining metalwork. The action flats, barrel flats and internal surfaces are attractively jeweled, and the highly figured walnut is particularly striking through the buttstock. A gold single trigger, straight grip, beavertail forend and checkered butt complete the traditional high-grade Model 21 presentation.

The 26″ ventilated-rib barrels are marked in the classic Winchester skeet configuration and measure approximately .006″ and .011″ constriction. At 6 lb. 7 oz. and balancing directly on the hinge pin, the gun has a lively, responsive feel without becoming overly light or whippy. Mechanically it is excellent, with mirror bores, a tight action, properly timed ejectors and crisp trigger pulls. Overall condition remains exceptional, with only minor handling evidence in the wood.

Complete with its fitted leather case, this is a particularly attractive example of CSMC’s interpretation of the Winchester Model 21—highly finished, beautifully engraved, and configured as a sporting 28-gauge that can be enjoyed in the field as readily as it can be admired in the cabinet.
