Built in 1920, this A.H. Fox A Grade represents one of the enduring classics of the American double-gun era. The A Grade gave the sportsman a step above the Sterlingworth, combining Fox’s famously strong, trim action with tasteful engraving and upgraded finish without moving into the considerably more expensive higher grades. More than a century later, that same formula makes this gun appealing. It has the unmistakable lines and character of a Philadelphia Fox and offers an opportunity to own a genuine graded American side-by-side without the price attached to the rarer small-bores or higher-grade Fox guns. This is the sort of vintage double that makes sense for the shooter who appreciates the history and workmanship of an original American sporting gun but still wants something that can be enjoyed rather than simply stored away.
