Vintage Firearms is pleased to present this deft handling, lightweight, sidelock ejector, from August Francotte.  Made in Liege, Belgium in 1907, this pre-war gun, has all original metal finishes and a fresh restoration by our talented gunsmiths on the stock and forend, with a beautiful hand rubbed oil finish.  Double bordered, point pattern checkering gives a comfortable, stylish, and confident grip to this handy little double barrel.  The barrels have mirror bores and factory blue in 98% condition.  The top rib has very a very nice, crisp matting design and scroll engraving with a gold bar on the rib extension. The receiver engraving still has the little hooks and catches from the engraver tools, and the case color has mostly faded to a handsome patina.  The trigger guard retains 95% of its factory charcoal blue.  The action features deep relief engraving with side clips on the breech fences, and a bottom lug for an exceptionally confident lock up.  The gun is tight on hinge and tight on face.  The top lever is centered.  The manual safety, double triggers, and ejectors all function as they should.  The chokes offer versatility for upland birds and rabbits with skeet and improved mod, respectively.  The gun is mechanically excellent and is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN HAVING THE ACTION AND FOREND IRON STRIPPED, ULTRASONIC CLEANED, ALL PARTS SCRUBBED CLEAN, INSPECTED FOR FUNCTION AND INTEGRITY, LUBRICATED, AND REASSEMBLED, NOW CARRYING A 90-DAY MECHANICAL WARRANTY.  This is a $450 service in our shop.
