| General Specs: Holloway & Co, c1900, 12-Gauge, 7lbs. 2oz., Chokes Cyl/LM, LOP 15 3/16″, DAH 2 3/8″, DAC 1 1/2″ Serial Number: 14658 This handsome Holloway & Co. is a wonderful example of an English boxlock from a respected maker that tends to fly under the radar. The action is covered in extensive scroll engraving with sculpted fences and engraving carried across the top lever, guard, and underside, giving the gun considerably more presence than the typical Birmingham BLE. The 30” barrels, straight-grip stock, ejectors, and lively balance make this a very appealing game gun. At just over 7 pounds with open/moderate choking, it has enough substance for smooth shooting on pheasants, doves, sporting clays, or driven birds without becoming cumbersome. The unusually long stock currently measures 15 3/16” LOP with its nicely fitted extension. For the buyer who prefers a different length or butt treatment, VFI Gunsmiths can readily tailor the stock to suit or add a different pad, please call us to discuss. A beautifully decorated, highly usable English ejector gun with 30” barrels—and a tremendous amount of traditional British gunmaking for the money.
