Vintage Firearms inc is pleased to offer this late 1950’s Janssen boxlock. Janssen was know for producing all grades of shotguns- from fully engraved with fancy scalloped frames and articulated triggers to the more accessible options for the everyman. This example (serial number 90112) was manufactured towards the end of Janssens tenure at 29 Rue Duvier, Liege. This Boxlock features 25 ¾” barrels with perfect bores, factory SK/SK chokes, 3” factory chambers, and 99% bluing. The receiver has 99% factory original vivid case color remaining with delicate line and scroll engraving and perfect screws. The furniture is European walnut with light figure and a Janssen horn buttplate. JANSSEN FILS & CO. operated in Liege, Belgium from 1893 to 1957. A good solid Belgium Boxlock and a great buy.
