Vintage firearms is pleased to offer a very honest L.C. Smith Field Grade 12 gauge. L.C. Smith’s field grades are excellent side by sides that will serve you well and are offered at a price that is affordable to all. This example, serial number FWS47861, produced in 1948, has all factory original metal finishes which have not been restored, it shows honest wear, and still shows much of its factory case color. The receiver retains 95%, and the barrels retain 70% factory finish which is fading to a pleasant patina. Furthermore, it’s fitted with a beavertail forend with superb checkering, and has a Single Sighting Plane raised rib, and the 26” barrels are choked IC/IM with mirror bores. This Field Grade will make a great sporting clays gun for your vintage side by side shoots or for upland birds in the field.  Have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below.
