General Specs: Ruger, 1990, .357 Magnum, 44oz. 6″
Serial Number:  172-25325

The Ruger GP100, introduced in 1985, was developed as a successor to Ruger’s Security/Service/Speed-Six double-action revolver line. It incorporated a triple-locking cylinder system which was first seen on the Redhawk that locks via a crane lever as opposed to the ejector rod, all while being built using more durable materials and a more robust frame. Unlike traditional revolvers where the frame shapes the grip typically requiring different frames for round and square butt versions, the GP100 takes advantage of a peg grip frame which allows for a wide variety of grip shapes so long as peg and internal spring components are covered. This example, serial number 175-24158, manufactured by Ruger in 1990, is chambered to fire the ever potent .357 Magnum. It retains 99% stainless steel on all parts, and has a mirror bore. Overall, a solid and reliable duty gun, and a perfect choice for your next trip to the range. Have a look at the detailed specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
