Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer this post war Smith & Wesson 38-44 Outdoorsman, built on the Smith & Wesson square butt N frame. This example serial number S145646, manufactured somewhere between 1955 and 1956, has been restored showing 99% finish on the barrel, frame, and trigger guard. The 1/2” target style hammer and trigger show vivid factory color. The top strap and backstrap have ten grooves, a serrated ramped front sight, a micrometer click adjustable combat rear sight, and a pinned 6 1/2” barrel with a mirror bore. The frame has 5 screws and has diamond center grips with Smith & Wesson medallions. It also comes with a factory box.
