Smith & Wesson needs little introduction, being one of the most enduring firearm manufacturers in America. Their K-frame is renowned for its durability and reliability, and the Model 17 is no exception. This example, 247K891, manufactured in 1982, the first year Smith & Wesson produced the Model 17 without pinned barrels. It chambers the economical .22LR and has a 6” barrel which retains 98% factory blue and has a mirror bore. The rib is fitted with adjustable rear target sight, which has received a matted finish to reduce glare, and a corresponding front Patridge.
