Smith & Wesson needs little introduction, being one of the most enduring firearm manufacturers in America. Their small J-frame is renowned for its compact silhouette and reliability. The Smith & Wesson Model 38 Airweight has earned its place as one of the most enduring concealed-carry revolvers ever built. With its shrouded hammer and lightweight alloy frame, the Model 38 was designed from the outset to disappear into a pocket or holster and come out smoothly when it matters. This example, serial number J43969, produced circa 1969, is in superb overall condition. The 1 7/8” barrel retains 98% factory finish with some light wear at the muzzle and has a mirror bore. The frame retains 97% factory finish and is fitted with acrylic faux mother of pearl grips. Included with this Model 38 are its factory box and documents. Specifications and pictures are below.
