Smith & Wesson needs little introduction, being one of the most enduring firearm manufacturers in America. Their K-frame is renowned for its durability and reliability, and the Model 66-1 is no exception. This example, serial number 50K7428, produced circa 1978 by Smith & Wesson, is in superb overall condition. It retains 98%+ stainless-steel finish on all parts and the 6” barrel has a shiny mirror bore. It’s fitted with Walnut target grips with smith & Wesson medallions, and the backstrap has ten grooves, a serrated ramped front sight with insert and a micrometer click adjustable combat rear sight. Included is a Smith & Wesson 66-1 box and documents, though the box does not share a serial number with the revolver. The mechanics function as expected and the lockup is tight.
