Udo Anschutz Falling Block Schuetzen Rifle 8.15x46NORM -APERTURE REAR SIGHT

Vintage Firearms is pleased to present this custom-built target rifle.  The ornate cheekpiece dominates the aesthetic of this gun, but there is much more to appreciate as you look closely at this distinct example of a Schuetzen Rifle.  The finish on the honey-colored stock and forearm is in excellent condition.  The forend has a couple of repairs on the right side.  Many of these rifles were built from kits by the end-user and apparently the owner of this gun decided enough was enough with the checkering pattern 90% completed. The buttstock terminates in a Schuetzen “Swiss” style, two-pronged metal buttplate.  The accentuated thumb rest and unique lever release put your trigger finger exactly where it needs to be to actuate the adjustable set trigger, and fire the round intuitively. The hand detachable trigger group is easily removed for adjustment and cleaning.   The precision sighting system features a removeable rear aperture target sight, with a front blade seated between large wings on a dovetail mounted ramp.  The matted rib features an integrated dovetail toward the breech end of the barrel for other rear sight mounting options.  The case color hardening on the receiver and lever is retained at 99%.  The heavy octagon barrel features a mirror bore with very strong rifling.  Please enjoy the photos!
