We are pleased to offer this pristine example of the famous Weatherby Mark V rifle with oak leave motifs. A stunning gun! This example, serial number H204081, manufactured in 1988 by Howa. The 24 1/2” barrel retains 99% factory finish with slight loss around the muzzle, and a mirror bore that rates 9.5/10. The receiver, magazine floor plate, and trigger guard all retain 99% factory finish, and the action is tapped and fitted with a very nice Leupold M8-2x scope, which we feel suits the rifle nicely. The black gloss finish on the scope complements the rifle’s bluing very well. Weatherby’s are well known for their strength and uses a nine-lug bolt and the durable “Three-rings-of-steel” design for extra strength and structural integrity, meaning it can handle the heaviest of loads. Taming that awesome firepower is a Monte Carlo stock with a factory fitted Weatherby recoil pad, and a forend that has a flat bottom making this a gun that is ideally suited to shooting from sandbags and branches while also providing an ergonomic hold for offhand shooting. The magnificent Monte Carlo Walnut furniture is complimented with slim Maplewood spacers framing the rosewood grip and forend caps, the pistol grip cap also features an inlet Maplewood diamond. Legendary Weatherby performance in stunning condition, this rifle has earned its reputation as being the “world’s strongest bolt action.” Included with this rifle is its factory shipping box, test target, manual, and two boxes of .300 Weatherby Magnum ammo (40 rounds total) which will ship separately and can be shipped directly to your home address, please know your local laws (ammo incurs its own shipping cost, typically around $40 depending on shipping address). Everything you need to get started! Whether you are new to Weatherby’s or a seasoned collector, it’s easy to see how this rifle will be an exceptional addition to any collection.
