| General Specs: Winchester, 1950, 20-Gauge, 6lbs. 12oz., Chokes IC/IC, LOP 14″, DAH 2 1/2″, DAC 1 9/16″ Serial Number: 22009 A handsome 1950 Winchester Model 21 in desirable 20 gauge, featuring beautifully figured walnut, 28″ barrels, and the legendary strength and craftsmanship that made the Model 21 one of America’s finest double guns. The open chokes and light weight make this an especially appealing upland hunting companion. The attractive pistol-grip stock displays striking grain figure, complemented by a beavertail forend and Winchester hard-rubber buttplate. The metal retains pleasing blue with honest handling marks and some thinning along the edges. Mirror bores, tight lockup, crisp single selective trigger, and properly timed automatic ejectors. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum factory letter confirming completion in February 1950 and documenting its original configuration. Originally choked Modified and Full, both barrels have since been opened to a very useful .008″ constriction. A beautiful example of Winchester’s legendary Model 21, combining attractive walnut, excellent mechanical condition, and a highly desirable field configuration.
