Going to the gun club and shooting a few rounds of skeet with the guys is about as good as it gets.  One of the only ways it can be better is to make the guys drool over the gun you bring.  This is the gun to get their attention.  It just has that stout, handsome build and the details bring it all together.  Start off with the 26” barrels which have wedges of scroll and border engraving at the breech end, 99%+ blue, vent rib with the Custom Built by Winchester marking, and mirror bores.  This gun has a flatside receiver with 21-2 engraving, which features bursts of scroll on the sides and top of the frame, borders on the breech fences, and a flying duck over cattails on the bottom of the frame.  The trigger guard shows no wear, scroll engraving, and houses a gold single selective trigger.  The engraved top lever lands well right of center, and the gun is tight on hinge and tight on face.  If you open things up, you’ll find the same attention to detail inside, with jeweled surfaces on the water table, breech face, barrel flats, and forend irons.   After all that, we get to the star of the show.  The furniture on this thing is fantastic; a beefy beavertail with ebony nib and extensive Custom Grade “W” engraving, paired with a robust full pistol grip with double bordered point pattern checkering and terminating in a classic red Winchester recoil pad.  This beautiful piece of walnut has dark wavy grain with a burst of feather crotch from the front of the comb down to the toe of the buttstock.  The order sheet from Center of the West says this gun was originally engraved with 21-5, and no mention of a flatside, so somewhere along the line, it seems someone chose to have this gun adjusted to their preferences and must have paid handsomely to have it executed by a very competent gunsmith and engraver.  To our eyes, it is as good as factory quality from Winchester.  Whether you mop the floor with the guys or not, this gun will give you the street cred you need next time you head to the club.
