Needing little introduction, the Browning A5 is one of the most iconic shotguns ever designed. With its signature humpback receiver design, the Browning’s Auto-5 is instantly recognizable and with more than 2.7 million made, it is a common sight both in the wild and the more manicured lawns of Skeet and Trap lines! These guns were made to be used, and millions of hunters and sportsmen did just that, slinging billions of rounds of ammo at all kind of targets and they’re still going strong! Manufactured in Belgium in 1961 this A5 is serial number 1Z 50383. This example has two vent rib barrels, both have mirror bores and are choked Improved Cylinder and Mod. This entire gun has been professionally restored. Beautiful satin bluing compliments the perfect hand rubbed finish on the wood, excellent hand checkering and clear engraving. Of course, this A5 has the desirable Long Tang Round Knob pistol grip and Euro walnut that exhibits plenty of figure and fiddleback on both sides, wood to metal fit is superb, and being 1961 production was crafted well before the infamous salt era guns soured the market. This two barrel set weighs just 6lb 9oz with the 26” barrel and a single ounce more with the 28” barrel, so minor you will not feel a difference and your guns balance will remain the same. This set comes with a Vintage Hartmann case and is salt free and comes with VFI’s 30-day mechanical warranty. Why wait any longer, this is the one! Thanks for looking!
