While John Browning’s genius created the original Browning superposed it was Mr. Browning’s grandson John Val who travelled to Japan in the 1960’s to supervise manufacturing of the Browning Superposed. Christened the Citori, it joined the Browning line of over/unders Inheriting all the excellent attributes of the original Browning design and then adding selective improvements to aid with modern manufacturing processes. The Citoris receiver is milled from a solid block of steel and the chambers are hard-chromed lined for longevity. The internal parts are all polished and hand fitted earning the Citori its reputation as a precision fit shotgun. The Citori in all its iterations became a worldwide success on its introduction in 1973. This 1997 Lightning Sporting Clays, SN 15374NRW53 is in 99% original factory condition. There are some handling marks and an area of freckling on the base plate. The furniture features a round knob pistol grip, hand cut checkering, and shows some fiddle back along the comb. The gun has an inertial trigger and selectable manual safety, the trigger breaks at 3.8 lbs. on both trigger pulls. The 30” Barrels have a vent rib, mirror bores and are ported. The barrels have screw-in Invector chokes- M/F are fitted; extra chokes are readily available. This Citori is supplied with a Browning luggage type hard case, extra trigger shoes and manual. A reliable gun ideally suited to breaking clays, it’s everything a over/ under Browning can be- just right. Thanks for looking!
