This fine upland gun made by L.C. Smith (Hunter Arms) in 1924, snFWE65545, is ready to chase your favorite upland birds or smash clay targets with real class.  This Elsie is a very attractive double gun, with finely figured walnut, detailed hand-engraved scroll and game scenes, hand cut checkering, and excellent wood-to-metal fit.   Examine the photos closely and you will see a beautiful example of the American gunmaker’s art.  A factory two-barrel set of 28” barrels with set one having more open chokes at skeet and modified, and the second set ready for trap, pheasants, or waterfowl at improved modified and extra full.  The bores are bright and shiny, and the blue is at least 98% on both sets.  Both barrels have a front bead of brass and bone; set two also has a white mid bead.  The trigger guard has 99% original blue.  The frame and locks have beautiful scroll and game scene engraving that you can still feel the hooks from the engraver’s tools, over vibrant case color with 98% coverage.  The Hunter One single selective trigger, manual safety, and ejectors are all excellent and in fine working order. The beautiful stock terminates in a Vintage Firearms installed PREMIUM LEATHER COVERED pad for an easy mount that “sticks” just right for secure second shots.  Not too often you come across a classy American side by side with this much versatility packed into one gun.  Thanks for looking!
