Vintage Firearms is pleased to offer an early production Winchester Model 57. The Model 57 was Winchester’s medium-priced target-shooting rifle manufactured between 1926 to 1936. Around 18,600 of the Model 56 (sans barrel band) and Model 57 being made, this gun, serial number 2592 belongs to Winchester first year of production. This example is considered the “cadet” style due to the barrel band with sling mount, emulating military rifles of the early 20th century. This target rifle has a peep sight for increased accuracy along with a flip up notch and front blade. The 22” barrels retain 70% factory blue, have mirror bores that rate 10/10. The receiver retains 85% blue and is in great overall condition. This century old gun STILL has its corresponding Winchester branded magazine which alone will set you back a pretty penny on the market, going for over $100 if you want one that’s not all beat up. A great choice for the aspiring target shooter or someone looking for an underrated Winchester to add to the collection. Either way feel free to have a look at the specifications and pictures below. Thanks for looking!
