| General Specs: W. Moore & Grey, 1896-1902, 12-Gauge, 6lbs. 7oz., Chokes IM/XF, LOP 15 1/16″, DAH 2 1/4″, DAC 1 5/8″ Serial Number: 5473 There is a lot to like about this William Moore & Grey. Built during the firm’s 165 Piccadilly period at the turn of the 20th century, it combines the handling of a proper English game gun with unusually handsome finish. Dense scroll engraving covers nearly every exposed surface, highlighted by beautifully carved fences and excellent figured walnut. At just 6lbs. 7oz. with 28” barrels and a straight-hand stock, the gun is quick and lively in the hands yet still settles nicely into the swing. The action is tight and centered, the ejectors are properly timed, the bores are mirror bright, and its generous stock dimensions make it unusually accommodating for a vintage English gun. The barrels carry later Birmingham nitro proof for their 2½” chambers. This gun is VFI Certified and backed by our 90-day mechanical warranty. See the specifications below.
