| General Specs: Lebeau-Courally, 1960, 12 Gauge, 6lbs. 10oz., Chokes IM/F, LOP 14 3/8″, DAH 2 1/16″, DAC 1 1/2″ Serial Number: 43453,43454
An exceptional true matched pair of Auguste Lebeau-Courally Model 108SC Imperial Extra Luxe 12ga sidelock ejector guns, built in 1960 and preserved in outstanding original condition. Serial numbers 43453 and 43454 were built together as a numbered pair, with matching dimensions, engraving, configuration, and weight. Presented in their fitted two-gun motor case, these represent some of the finest work of the renowned Belgian maker. The craftsmanship is extraordinary. Elaborate deep-relief floral and scroll engraving covers the sidelocks, receiver, and fences, complemented by gold-inlaid maker’s names, gold-numbered ribs and top levers, and the distinctive gold Lebeau pigeon-and-crown emblems in the forends. Beautifully figured English stocks, slender wrists, fine checkering, and leather-covered pads complete the elegant presentation. Condition is exceptional throughout. Both guns retain 100% factory barrel blue and approximately 98% original case colors, with mirror bores, superb screws, crisp double triggers, and properly timed ejectors. The 28″ barrels and beautifully proportioned stocks make these lively, refined sporting guns as well as highly desirable collectibles. An accompanying Lebeau-Courally factory letter documents their history, including an additional barrel set originally supplied with gun No. 1, which is no longer with the pair. Originally ordered for an Italian concern, these guns have been remarkably well preserved over more than six decades. A rare opportunity to acquire a true cased pair of Belgian best guns, combining exceptional original condition, extraordinary craftsmanship, and the distinction of a matched pair from one of Europe’s most respected makers. Vintage Firearms appreciates the significance of preserving a matched pair, but we also recognize the practical interests of today’s sportsmen. Our gunsmiths can discuss adjusting the chokes in gun No. 2 to create a versatile “American Pair,” with different choke combinations suited to various hunting and shooting pursuits. We are also willing to consider selling the guns individually at $19,950 each.
